About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Sterile Services Department as an Assistant Technician. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in the preparation and distribution of sterile goods and services to our internal and external customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare goods and services for customers utilizing all areas in the department
  • Assist with the distribution of sterile and clean supplies to theatre, wards, and other departments
  • Operate equipment such as washer disinfectors and sterilizers
  • Be receptive to training and development opportunities
  • Assist with stores handling and stock control
  • Provide support to senior departmental staff
  • Contribute to an effective, motivated, and competent workforce and comply with high-quality standards
  • Monitor and control production within the Sterile Services Department, ensuring that all priority requests and contractual turnaround times are met
  • Ensure that both the Trust and Departmental Values and Behaviours are adhered to at all times by all members of staff within the Sterile Services Department
