Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Accreditation Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring SGS UK Limited maintains and adheres to accreditation requirements. This includes planning and conducting professional management system audits, maintaining and developing procedures and resources, and providing technical expertise and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date sector knowledge and expertise, and cascade this to other auditing staff.
  • Research, develop and maintain Product procedures, quality plans, briefing notes and guidance notes.
  • Assist Certification Managers to ensure appropriate endorsement of Product Qualification Records for the aerospace standards.
  • Adhere to the accredited office's responsibilities stated in the supporting office agreements with the relevant affiliates.
  • In conjunction with the Certification managers, to source, manage and train sub-contracted staff to assist in the delivery of certification work in the Product.
  • Seek opportunities to expand client base in conjunction with the Sales Manager and Client Managers.
  • Liaise as necessary with professional bodies and organizations to protect and develop the company's commercial and technical interests in the sector.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge and experience of ISO9001 / ISO 14000 and ISO 45000.
  • Registered Lead Auditor AS9100 / AS9120 / AS9110.
  • Extensive experience within aerospace industry.
  • Experience of working under own initiative and in planning and prioritizing workloads.

Desirable Requirements

  • Registered on OASIS as an AEA (Aerospace Experienced Auditor).
  • Experience of managing and leading teams.
  • Developing Quality Management systems.
  • Previous Aerospace Project Management experience is advantageous.
  • Degree, Post Grad Diploma, Msc or equivalent in relevant subject is advantageous.
