Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Product Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects associated with maintaining UKAS accreditation for SGS UK Limited. The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge and experience of ISO9001 / ISO 14000 and ISO 45000, and be registered as a Lead Auditor for AS9100 / AS9120 / AS9110.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure SGS UK Limited maintains and adheres to accreditation requirements
- Plan and conduct professional management system audits in accordance with SGS procedures to enable delivery of assessment and certification services that meet customer requirements and appropriate accreditation standards
- Maintain and further develop procedures and resources for the profitable delivery of aerospace certification
- Provide technical expertise, support and training where required to Technical & Accreditation manager, SGS UK aerospace auditors, affiliates and line Manager
- Expand the range of products and services delivered in the sector and support sales activities
- Project management of key clients as required
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain up to date sector knowledge and expertise, and cascade this to other auditing staff
- Research, develop and maintain Product procedures, quality plans, briefing notes and guidance notes
- Assist Certification Managers to ensure appropriate endorsement of Product Qualification Records for the aerospace standards
- Adhere to the accredited office's responsibilities stated in the supporting office agreements with the relevant affiliates
- In conjunction with the Certification managers, to source, manage and train sub-contracted staff to assist in the delivery of certification work in the Product
- Seek opportunities to expand client base in conjunction with the Sales Manager and Client Managers
- Liaise as necessary with professional bodies and organizations to protect and develop the company's commercial and technical interests in the sector
Requirements
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge and experience of ISO9001 / ISO 14000 and ISO 45000
- Registered Lead Auditor AS9100 / AS9120 / AS9110
- Extensive experience within aerospace industry
- Experience of working under own initiative and in planning and prioritizing workloads
Desirable Requirements
- Registered on OASIS as an AEA (Aerospace Experienced Auditor)
- Experience of managing and leading teams
- Developing Quality Management systems
- Previous Aerospace Project Management experience is advantageous
- Degree, Post Grad Diploma, Msc or equivalent in relevant subject is advantageous
