Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for providing specialist occupational therapy services to patients with neurological conditions, particularly stroke rehabilitation.

This is a Band 7 position that requires extensive experience in adult neurology, especially stroke care. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of integrated rehabilitation pathways across acute, community, and primary care services.

The successful candidate will have a recognized diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy and active contribution to training and supervision of others. A valid UK driving license is also essential.

The estimated salary for this role is £58,000 - £67,000 per annum, depending on experience. The position is based at Magnolia unit, St Michael's primary care centre, Enfield.

  • To perform comprehensive assessments of patients with complex physical and psychological conditions to develop individualized treatment programs.
  • To work closely with other agencies to ensure occupational therapy treatment is fully integrated into patients' care programs.
  • To provide clinical supervision and support to less experienced staff, including therapists, assistants, technical instructors, and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with neurological conditions, particularly stroke rehabilitation.
  2. Contribution to the development of integrated rehabilitation pathways across acute, community, and primary care services.
  3. Providing clinical supervision and support to less experienced staff.

Requirements:

  • Recognized diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Extensive experience in adult neurology, especially stroke care.
  • Active contribution to training and supervision of others.
  • A valid UK driving license.
