Job Overview

We are proud to offer a challenging yet rewarding role as a Care Assistant Specialist in our Midlothian services. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to creating a supportive community for individuals with diverse needs.

No prior experience in care is necessary, as our comprehensive training program prepares you for success. This includes classroom-based sessions, e-learning, and the opportunity to shadow experienced practitioners.

A valid full UK driving licence is essential due to the nature of this service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Community Engagement: Plan and attend outings to various clubs, leisure activities, and day centres, promoting individuals' social interaction and well-being.
  • Medical Administration: Administer and monitor medication as required.
  • Practical Assistance: Support individuals in maintaining their tenancies by encouraging daily household tasks, such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, and shopping.

About the Role:

Your duties will be tailored to meet the unique needs of the individuals you support, ensuring a person-centred approach. You will work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality support and contribute to creating a positive living environment.

Estimated Salary: £24,500 - £29,500 per annum (dependent on experience), paid travel during shifts, and 45p per mile fuel allowance.
