Are you passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives? We're looking for a Care Support Specialist to join our team at The Richmond Fellowship Scotland in Midlothian. This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in care and support individuals with their daily needs.

No previous experience is required, as we provide full training by our award-winning learning & development team. You'll learn through classroom-based sessions, e-learning, and hands-on experience with our experienced Support Practitioners. In addition, we'll finance and support you to achieve your SVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification in-house.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to hold a valid UK manual driving licence. You may be asked to drive individuals' mobility vehicles, so reliability and safety are crucial. As a Care Support Specialist, you'll work weekends, shift patterns, and sleepovers if required, including Full Time, Part time, and Bank shifts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Social Support: Assist individuals in engaging with their communities by planning and attending outings to various clubs and leisure activities such as day centres, bowling, cinema, swimming etc.
  • Medical Support: Administer medication, monitor health conditions, and provide personal care as needed. You'll work closely with healthcare professionals and families to ensure the best possible outcomes.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.
