Deputy Training Programme Director for Internal Medicine Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Deputy Training Programme Director for Internal Medicine. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of educational programmes and workforce transformation within the NHS.
The successful candidate will be professionally and managerially accountable to the Head of School and will focus on improving learner supervision, assessment, and experience, as well as engaging faculty and ensuring effective educational outcomes.
This role is evolving and will also focus on whole workforce transformation, developing multi-professional links, and innovative ways of curriculum delivery and workforce well-being strategies.
Main Responsibilities- Developing an effective network of communication and collaboration with stakeholders on a local, regional, and national basis.
- Ensuring high standards of education and training as defined by the General Medicine Council and other national bodies.
- Commitment to national vision, policies, and processes for effective educational quality management.
- Ensuring that objectives are met within budget and proportionate contribution to budget savings when required.
- Ensuring that Code of Practice Guidelines are met.
- Giving accurate guidance to trainees on OOP/ IDTs/ LTFT/ Acting up applications.

Person Specification- Primary medical qualification or On the Specialist Register.
- Membership/Fellowship of a College, Faculty, Professional Association, and/or Regulatory Body.
- Experience of working with learners or doctors in training in an educational context.
- Experience of clinical and educational leadership.
- Demonstrable track record of delivery in service and education.
- Leadership.
- Problem solving.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, written, and presentation skills.
Depending on experience, salary paid in line with sessional payments.
