We are seeking a talented Trading Standards Officer to join our team at Kate+Co, a leading provider of business compliance solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing statements of evidence and correspondence to be submitted to our legal department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake investigations of complaints and inspections of premises to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations.
  • Prepare reports and briefing notes for relevant committee and member meetings.
  • Provide first-line contact and support for members of the public and businesses, offering advice and information on consumer protection and legislative compliance.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation in relation to consumer protection and any associated regulations and policies.
  • Knowledge of customer care and the principles of equal opportunities in providing a business compliance function.
  • Knowledge and understanding of investigative techniques and the law of evidence, including legal and court procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act as it relates to the collection of effective evidence.

Key Information:

  • Full-time hours - Monday to Friday
  • Salary - £25.00 per hour
