Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Learning and Development Specialist to join our team at National Skills Agency. As a GCSE Tutor and Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners in their academic journey.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work with a caseload of learners, providing tailored support to help them achieve their goals. This will involve understanding each learner's starting point and skills development needs through initial assessments and diagnostics.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring that all learners make progress and meet their targets. This will involve working collaboratively with fellow tutors and management to enhance curriculum planning and delivery.

In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will also be required to monitor attendance and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions as needed.

Your commitment to safe working practices and adherence to company policies and procedures is essential. You will also be expected to promote equal opportunities and recognition of diversity throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to a caseload of learners.
  2. Assess and understand each learner's starting point and skills development needs.
  3. Work collaboratively with fellow tutors and management to enhance curriculum planning and delivery.
  4. Monitor attendance and performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  5. Implement targeted interventions to support learners' progress.
Requirements
  1. Qualified Tutor (at least a Level 3 specialism).
  2. Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in GCSE/Functional Skills.
  3. Teaching Qualification (at least a Level 3).
  4. Driving Licence.
Estimated Salary Range: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum
