Job Title: Senior Commissioning Engineer

Location: Barrow-In-Furness

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, negotiable based on skills and experience.

About the Role:

  • Lead complex commissioning trials and manage test groups to ensure safe and compliant activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including engineering teams, Royal Navy, MoD, and Build Operations, to facilitate project delivery.
  • Develop and review design and test documentation to meet industry standards.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on electrical power systems.
  • Represent the company at Factory Acceptance Tests, Contractors Sea Trials, and other outworking requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree/HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of AC and DC electrical generation and power distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with Distribution Systems, C&I, and Electrical Testing.
  • Understanding of Instrumentation Systems, including Electrostatic Discharge, Low Voltage Control, Data Communications, PLCs, and Fibre Optics.
  • Detailed knowledge of Safety Control and Procedures in a high-risk environment.
