Job Description: Electrical Commissioning Team Lead

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our commissioning engineering team, you will be responsible for the administration, technical control, and development of personnel in consistently achieving departmental goals, performance metrics expectations, and milestones in accordance with the contract delivery programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of engineers within the weapons test section
  • Coordinating input of information to the team from all engineering functions
  • Working on advanced weapons equipment requiring a high specialist focus
  • Developing and implementing processes to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure safe control of work

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of either sonar, navigation, command systems or external communications systems from either commissioning or maintaining experience
  • Good understanding of installations and final installation inspection process of weapons electrical systems
  • Ideally experience of spice, SAP or P6
  • Good understanding and experience of safe systems of work
  • Experience of reviewing electrical and weapons technical documentation and drawings
  • Previous team leader/supervisory experience
  • Ideally have a minimum of HNC in an electrical engineering subject
