Role: Shift Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our engineering team as a Shift Engineer. As a Shift Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our Residence club and the systems on property.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery to residents.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire and life safety systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve service quality.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Shift Engineer or in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Technical certifications or trade licenses are desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire and life safety systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests, colleagues, and external contractors.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces if required.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety and building codes and regulations.

  • A competitive salary of 34,000 per annum, with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern and an average of 42 hours per week.
