Associate Director, Planner - London

Cobalt Consulting (UK) Ltd is seeking a Planning Consultant to join our team as an Associate Director. This is an exciting opportunity to further your progression towards a future leadership position with a flexible and experienced team.

You will be working closely with our consultancy in central London, managing projects, assisting in delegating, and taking on a leadership role. You will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with clients, providing accurate advice, and communicating effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing projects and delegating tasks to junior team members
  • Maintaining relationships with clients and providing expert advice
  • Dealing with pre-apps and managing planning applications through the development process
  • Communicating and negotiating with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities
  • Business development and working up your own client base
  • Mentoring and managing junior team members

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in planning, ideally in consultancy
  • Strong development management skillset and expertise
  • MRTPI or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent written and communication skills
