Associate Director, Planner - London

£65,000 - £75,000 per annum + negotiable, benefits, bonus

Cobalt Consulting (UK) Ltd is seeking a Planning Consultant to join their team as an Associate Director. This is an exciting opportunity to further your progression towards a future leadership position with a flexible and experienced team.

The successful candidate will be involved in managing projects, assisting in delegating, and taking on a leadership role. They will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with clients, providing accurate advice, and communicating effectively. Additionally, they will deal with pre-apps and manage planning applications through the development process.

The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in planning, preferably in consultancy. They will have strong development management skills and expertise, be MRTPI or equivalent, and be a strong communicator with excellent written work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects and assist in delegating tasks
  • Maintain relationships with clients and provide accurate advice
  • Deal with pre-apps and manage planning applications
  • Communicate and negotiate with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities
  • Business development and working up your own client base
  • Mentor and manage junior team members

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in planning, preferably in consultancy
  • Strong development management skills and expertise
  • MRTPI or equivalent
  • Strong communicator with excellent written work
