Music Therapist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Music Therapist to join our team at Children's Hospice South West. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing music therapy services to children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver music therapy sessions to children and young people in a variety of settings, including the hospice, home, hospital, and community settings.
- Assess, develop, implement, deliver, and evaluate music therapy programs for individuals and groups.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach to care.
- Provide music therapy sessions for children and young people facing loss or bereavement.
- Develop and maintain music therapy equipment and resources within an agreed budget.
- Provide induction and in-service training to staff on music therapy principles and practices.
- Recognized Music Therapy qualification from an HCPC-validated course.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience of delivering music therapy to children and young people with life-limiting conditions or complex needs.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assess, develop, implement, deliver, and evaluate music therapy programs.
