Music Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Music Therapist to join our team at Children's Hospice South West. As a Music Therapist, you will work with children and young people with life-limiting conditions, providing music therapy sessions that promote emotional well-being, social interaction, and creative expression.
About the RoleAs a Music Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing music therapy plans that meet the unique needs of each child or young person. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that music therapy is integrated into the child's overall care plan.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and develop music therapy plans for children and young people with life-limiting conditions
- Provide music therapy sessions that promote emotional well-being, social interaction, and creative expression
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that music therapy is integrated into the child's overall care plan
- Develop and maintain music therapy equipment and resources within an agreed budget
- Provide induction and in-service training to a wide range of staff
- Recognised Music Therapy qualification from an HCPC-validated course
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Experience of delivering music therapy to children and young people with life-limiting conditions
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
