Clinical Coordinator

About the Role
The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for the organisation and booking of patients at Bristol Eye Hospital for their appointments. This role will involve liaising with patients, offering reasonable notice for their appointments, and ensuring that clinic and theatre lists are filled and maintained on our IT systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Organisation of theatre lists in accordance with the availability of medical staff, to ensure effective utilisation and management of theatre capacity
- Undertake telephone calls/queries and booking of appointments as necessary
- Enter and update accurate information on the Careflow and Bluespier systems, in a timely way
- Maintain and manage Waiting Lists & Clinics to support effective patient management, within targets
- Communicate effectively, accurately applying discretion and tact where necessary, with written, over the telephone, e-mail and face to face contact with patients, visitors, other trusts and external agencies
- Adept and ensure compliance with all relevant policies
- Promote and support changes to working practices, to improve service delivery
