We are seeking an experienced Acute Occupational Therapist to join our private clinic in Surrey. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, client-focused care to patients requiring acute occupational therapy services.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated therapist to join our team and contribute to the development and enhancement of our acute OT services. You will work closely with our experienced clinicians to provide evidence-based interventions, including ADL training, cognitive rehabilitation, mobility enhancement, and environmental adaptation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Discharge Planning and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to facilitate safe and efficient discharge planning.
    • Provide training and education for patients and their families on post-discharge activities and self-management strategies.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship:
    • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior OTs, therapy assistants, and students, supporting their development and clinical skills.
    • Conduct case discussions, team meetings, and training sessions to promote knowledge-sharing and best practices within the OT team.
  • Service Development and Quality Improvement:
    • Contribute to the development and enhancement of acute OT services within the clinic, implementing evidence-based protocols and practices.
    • Participate in clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high standards of care and continuous improvement.
    • Identify opportunities for service expansion or innovation that enhance patient outcomes and clinic reputation.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to share insights, coordinate care, and advocate for patients' needs.
