About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Administrative Support Specialist to join our team in the Obesity Department. The successful candidate will provide efficient and comprehensive administrative support to the department, ensuring that work is prioritized according to the ever-changing demands of the service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative duties to support the overall effective running of the Obesity department
  • Provide an excellent standard of typing support to the Obesity team, including touch, digital audio, and copy typing
  • Undertake data input duties to ensure computerized records are kept up to date and accurate at all times, including filing, scanning, photocopying, and ICE filing
  • Validate dictations to ensure patient details are correct by cross-referencing the profiling window with the dictation
  • Answer telephone calls and escalate concerns and queries from patients to the appropriate clinician
  • Support with admin tasks related to any pilot schemes, pathway changes, or digital implementation within the service
