We are seeking a motivated and experienced Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team at our Preston site. As a key member of our Aftermarket Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles and trailers. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for undertaking maintenance and repair activities, diagnosing faults, carrying out tests, and effecting permanent and complete repairs.

The ideal candidate will have obtained a City & Guilds qualification or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, with a focus on Commercial Vehicles. They will have experience in the diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair of vehicles, as well as a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. A full and current UK driving license is essential.

About the Role:
- Salary: £37,550 per annum
- Location: Preston site
- Job Type: Full-time
- Working Hours: Wednesday to Saturday (shift pattern)

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake maintenance and repair activities on commercial vehicles/trailers of all types
- Diagnose faults, carry out tests on vehicles, and effect permanent and complete repairs
- Complete paperwork and procedures relating to warranty, contract, and retail work
- Perform preventative maintenance work to minimise unnecessary customer costs

Our Requirements:
- Obtained a City & Guilds or other adequate qualification to NVQ level 3, in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
- Experience in the diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair of vehicles, experience of working on Commercial Vehicles is required
- Organised and methodical approach to problem-solving with attention to detail
- Undertaken manufacturers training courses and maintained knowledge of work methods and technical data
- Full and current UK driving license

The estimated salary for this role is £37,550 per annum.
