Opportunity Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for two permanent Clinical Consultants to join our paediatric mental health liaison teams. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children and young people.

This position offers a competitive salary range of £105,504 to £139,882 per annum, pro-rata for part-time employees. In addition, a Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000 is included, paid in instalments over the first 48 months of employment.

About the Role

You will work as part of a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team, collaborating with other members of the team and Acute hospital staff to plan and deliver individually tailored treatment plans. Your expertise will be essential in providing specialist clinical assessments and consultations for children, young people, and their families in an Acute Hospital Setting.

This post will be based in the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton and will also provide sessions to Hospitals in West Sussex. You will have opportunities to liaise with colleagues in other posts throughout the Trust and develop peer networks.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Mandatory MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
