Senior PMO Expert

At Telent Technology Services Limited, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that keeps the nation's critical networks connected and protected 24/7.

The Senior PMO Expert plays a critical role in supporting the upgrade of Telent's Project Management capability. The role is pivotal in driving best practices, project governance, and PM training and development across the organisation.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract that offers hybrid working, with a requirement to be in our Warwick Head Office 2-3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build effective relationships with project management teams and senior management to ensure a pragmatic approach to delivery and the application of the Telent Project Lifecycle methodology.
  2. Manage the efficient running of the weekly project board, aligned to the lifecycle gates.
  3. Enable the creation and development of the project management training programme to support PM competency development and career pathways.
  4. Implement consistent governance and controls to report project key performance indicators to stakeholders, highlighting risks and issues to provide an early warning mechanism of where a project needs support.
  5. Utilise industry best practices, techniques, standards, and project management tools to optimise project delivery.
  6. Identify areas for improvement in project performance to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

You will have proven experience in a similar role at a senior level, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. A high level of general education, preferably a degree-level qualification or equivalent, is required. Experience of working effectively to demanding deadlines and prioritising your workload with minimal supervision is essential.
