Job Overview

Turner & Townsend is seeking a skilled Project Planner to oversee the planning function on a major MoD construction project based in Derby. The successful candidate will work with stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are defined and will provide clarity on key milestones to define what, when and how activities will be organised to ensure the outcomes can be achieved.

Main Responsibilities

The Project Planner will lead on all aspects of project planning, including the development, updating and monitoring of plans and schedules. They will identify tasks, activities, interdependencies and outputs and work with the project team to track and monitor progress against the plan throughout the lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Valid UK SC clearance to work on nuclear/defence construction projects.
  • Demonstrable experience leading robust project controls teams on major construction projects within highly regulated industries.
  • Proficient level of understanding of Primavera P6 is essential.
  • Ability to utilise techniques such as earned value management/analysis, critical path analysis, cost loading and risk management.
  • Degree in related engineering/project management field is desirable.
