About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Consultant to join our team at Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Paediatric Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and young people with a range of medical conditions, including autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, and child protection concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on autism assessments in Hackney Ark Complex Communication Clinics (children under 5 years old)
  • Provide a weekly multidisciplinary neurodevelopment clinic for the assessment and management of children with developmental delays and disabilities at the Hackney Ark
  • Support to HVs, GPs, schools and nurseries
  • Attend Multi-agency Referral weekly meeting (MARS)
  • Take an active role, together with colleagues within the Trust, in seeing children with child protection concerns
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • MBBS or equivalent
  • MRCPCH or equivalent
  • On GMC Specialist Register with full GMC registration
  • CCT / CESR Paediatrics (or specialty trainee eligible for CCT within 6 months of interview date)
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Higher degree MSc, MD
  • Subspecialty recognition in community paediatrics and/or neurodisability
  • Management course
