We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Dynamics Engineer to join our team at Aston Martin F1 Team. As a key member of our Vehicle Performance team, you will play a crucial role in the development of our racing cars.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct simulation studies for current and future car development
  • Analyze performance data to optimize vehicle dynamics
  • Correlate simulation models with real-world data
  • Design and conduct mechanical rig testing programs
  • Develop and implement Driver in the Loop (DILSim) test programs
  • Collaborate with other technical departments to ensure seamless integration of vehicle dynamics into the overall car development process
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in the automotive/motorsport sector
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling complex challenges
  • Excellent understanding of mechanical systems and data analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of aerodynamic principles and their application to ground vehicles
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab and Python
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Motorsport trackside experience
  • Proficiency in data analysis software
  • Experience with mechanical modelling in Simulink/Dymola
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical/automotive systems
