As a Women's Prison Support Advocate, you will play a vital role in supporting women on remand and those unsentenced within the prison setting. Your primary focus will be on providing pre-release support, focusing on accommodation, finance, debt & benefits, family & significant others, and social inclusion.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of women in prison. You will have the chance to work collaboratively with the Offender Management team and other service providers to develop a referral pathway and provide targeted support to women in custody.

About the Role:

  • You will work closely with the Pre-Release teams to ensure clients maintain or access suitable accommodation, finance, benefits, and debt, family, and social inclusion support.
  • Ensuring that interventions are responsive to and meet the needs of women from diverse and minoritised backgrounds.
  • Developing a referral pathway with the Offender Management team within the prison for women to access the service.
  • Working in partnership with existing service providers operating within the prison.

About You:

  • Significant experience working with women in a challenging multi-agency environment, ideally working with prisoners and/or their families.
  • Excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a prison environment while remaining calm.
  • A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential.
