FitzRoy Residential Care in Rayleigh provides care and support for individuals with learning disabilities and autism, some with physical impairments. We are seeking a dedicated support worker to join our established team.

The people we support enjoy engaging in various activities, including swimming, trampolining, listening to music, and watching movies, making each day unique.

A support worker's role is varied and requires flexibility. You will provide care and support tailored to the needs and wishes of individuals with learning disabilities, working together to identify and achieve their goals. You will also be responsible for carrying out everyday tasks, including personal care, and participating in activities that promote a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle.

Vacancy Details:

  • Competitive hourly rates, with weekday rates from £11.00ph rising to £13.50ph with overtime, and weekend rates from £12.10ph rising to £14.60ph with overtime
  • Full-time and part-time positions available
  • Weekend-only opportunities also available at an enhanced rate
  • Shift patterns will fall between 07.00 and 22.00
  • You will be required to work 2 out of 3 weekends
  • Sleep-ins may be required in emergencies, paid at £50 per night
  • A full driving licence and willingness to drive FitzRoy vehicles are preferred

About the Role:

As a support worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities. Even without prior care experience, we will provide training and support to help you develop the skills and confidence needed to deliver high-quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals with varying needs and abilities
  • Participate in a range of activities, including shopping, crafts, and leisure pursuits
  • Assist with personal care, such as showers and baths

Working Hours:

Hours will be between 7am and 10pm, with 7.5-hour shifts. Weekend working is essential, with a rotating schedule and time off during the week.
