Job Title: Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £40-60k (DOE), car/allowance (subject to role and level of position) plus excellent benefits

Lanesra Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors, with a strong understanding of NEC forms of contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of allocated contracts from tender through to final account, within limits defined by the Commercial Manager. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing the commercial plan to manage risk and drive profitability
  2. Measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings) for Valuations, Variations & Final Accounts.
  3. Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting and agreement of interim valuations in accordance with those dates.
  4. Measurement and valuation of subcontractors work for payment and Final Account purposes.
  5. Development and submission of claims for delay and disruption and loss and/or expense.
  6. Procurement of non-domestic subcontractors and assisting Buying Department in procurement of domestic sub-contractors.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the water sector and experience working with integrated design and build solution providers. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and have excellent communication skills.
