Job Title: Senior Building Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join our team at Contract Scotland. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in flatted developments and possess strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final figures.
  2. Minimize costs and enhance value for money while achieving required standards and quality.
  3. Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
  4. Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
  5. Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
  6. Allocate work to subcontractors.
  7. Provide advice on contractual claims.
  8. Maintain awareness of different building contracts in current use.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  2. Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
  3. Proficient in relevant software applications (e.g., MS Office, COINS, or similar).
