Assistant Construction Manager - Rail Electrification

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Construction Manager - Rail Electrification to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our Transpire account, you will play a crucial role in delivering the Transpennine route upgrade project.

About the Role

The Assistant Construction Manager - Rail Electrification will assist the Construction Manager in delivering allocated contracts safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for supervising and delivering approved construction programs to agreed resource and cost plans. Key knowledge of OLE foundations and minor civils works is essential, as well as experience with CHS piling, concrete augers, and viaducts/bridge fixings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Submit accurate site records to enable effective monitoring of program and cost plans
  • Monitor sub-contractors, contract staff, and contingent/direct labor for allocated site activities
  • Attend site when required, including weekends and night shifts, to deliver allocated works within the TRU OLE contract
Requirements
  • Experience of railway construction management for the OLE discipline, especially foundation works
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with site staff and project team
  • Knowledge of Risk Assessment process, exclusion zones, working at height, and AC power systems
  • Understanding of Railway planning systems
  • PTS/COSS/IWA and SMSTS (or SSSTS as a minimum) certifications
