About InSite Technical Services

InSite Technical Services is a leading design and engineering consultancy that delivers projects in the Oil & Gas, LNG, Nuclear, and Renewables industries. Our team of experts provides technical solutions from concept to completion, leveraging the synergy of our international Vulcain Engineering Group.

We are seeking a motivated and suitably qualified Lead Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in Pembroke Dock, West Wales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Lead the Control & Instrumentation team, focusing on technical quality of deliverables and timely delivery of technical documents.
  • Document Review and Approval: Review and approve engineering documents, including calculations, specifications, philosophies, datasheets, and drawings, to ensure compliance with specifications and functional integrity.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate C&I activities with other disciplines, attend internal and external project review meetings, and monitor changes in scope of work.
  • Client and Vendor Liaison: Liaise with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Technical Decision Making: Lead on project technical decisions, input to project plans and schedules, and estimate deliverables and hours required to deliver a project.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications: Engineering degree or relevant industry experience, Chartered Engineer status or working towards.
  • Technical Expertise: Significant experience in detailed design engineering, knowledge of PLC systems, specification, configuration, and commissioning, and experience with industrial communication systems.
  • Software Skills: Competent in the use of MS Office applications.
