Receptionist Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Receptionist to join our front-of-house team at a prestigious London university.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors with a warm and approachable demeanor.
  • Manage incoming calls and emails, ensuring prompt and accurate responses or redirection.
  • Maintain the reception area to ensure it is tidy, presentable, and stocked with relevant materials.
  • Provide general administrative support, including handling mail, booking rooms, and updating records.
  • Address general inquiries about university services and direct individuals to the appropriate departments.
  • Support event coordination by assisting with logistics and providing on-the-day reception services.
  • Monitor and report any health, safety, or security concerns in the reception area.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Confidence in handling confidential information.
  • A positive attitude and adaptability to handle diverse challenges.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
