Job Description: Cover Teacher Assistant - Accrington

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cover Teacher Assistant to join our team in Accrington. As a Cover Teacher Assistant, you will provide critical support to teachers and students in secondary schools, ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience.

About the Role:
This position involves providing high-quality cover supervision, classroom management, and reporting student progress. You will work closely with teaching staff to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to support students' academic and personal growth. A strong communication style and ability to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a safe and respectful learning environment, adhering to school behaviour and safety protocols.
  • Reporting: Document student progress, attendance, and any concerns, communicating effectively with teaching staff and parents.
  • Support Services: Provide additional support services to students, such as tutoring or mentoring, to enhance their academic performance and confidence.


Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Relevant teaching qualification or equivalent (preferred).
  • DBS Disclosure: Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional references.
  • Licence to Work: Legal right to work in the UK.


Salary: £18-22 per hour depending on experience

Working Hours: Flexible working hours to accommodate various school schedules

Contract Type: Temporary contract with possibility of extension
