About the Role

As a Branch Manager at United Rentals, you will be responsible for leading a major business enterprise. You will have the opportunity to hire and motivate a team of sales and service professionals, as well as maintenance and drivers. Your goal will be to ensure enthusiastic and informed customer service, while building a profitable location with your business and management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage overall branch operations to ensure safety, productivity, customer service, and profitability
  2. Oversee sales efforts and business initiatives
  3. Prepare reports, including profit and loss statements, monthly operating reviews, and yearly budgets
  4. Oversee all safety matters, including audits, safety training, OSHA compliance, and DOT regulations
  5. Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  2. Minimum 5 years of successful business management experience with profit and loss responsibility at a branch or other individual profit center
  3. An understanding of business accounting principles and budget preparation
  4. Strong sales and customer service experience required, outside sales experience preferred
  5. Effective leadership, motivational, organizational, and communication skills
  6. Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office
  7. Knowledge and experience in the equipment rental industry preferred
  8. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.
