Job Title: Asset Development Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Asset Development Specialist to join our team at ENGIE Group. This role is responsible for contributing to the safe operation of the Storengy UK Stublach Gas Storage Facility and developing the Well Integrity Management System (WIMS).

Main Responsibilities:
  • Report all events to the Line Manager and raise proactive observations to reduce risk of an unsafe situation occurring.
  • Provide engineering input into investigations or operational studies.
  • Act as Technical Lead for risk assessment of well activities and well operations using ALARP principles.
  • Define performance measures relating to Well Integrity.
  • Own and update Well Status Diagrams, Well Barrier elements and performance standards.
  • Deliver continuous improvements to minimise downtime and maximise plant availability.
  • Plan and provide operational support for well-related maintenance, interventions, and workover operations.
  • Provide technical input into design activities, including harmonising with group and UK standards.
  • Coordinate well specific maintenance, inspections, and corrective breakdown activities.
  • Develop multi-year programmes for periodic maintenance regarding well integrity inspections.
  • Generate operational instructions/procedures relating to well operation and maintenance.
  • Support O&M team with key mechanical maintenance contracts.
  • Review and update mechanical drawings following any modifications to well related equipment.
  • Lead on site modification relating to mechanical systems, acting as Technical Safety Assessment leader when required.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering, essential.
  • 2 years' experience in the oil and gas industry or process industries, preferably in a well integrity role.
  • Ability to use a CMMS system (Maximo) and document management software.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to search archives to find relevant construction data.
  • Able to absorb engineering standards and apply to SUK document updates.
