About the Role

We are seeking an experienced School Nurse to take on a key leadership role within our School Health service. As a Practice Development and Education Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based practice, leading on service development, and supporting the education and training of school nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice guidelines and protocols for school nurses
  • Lead on service development, including the design and delivery of training programs and workshops
  • Support the education and training of school nurses and other healthcare professionals, including the development of curricula and training materials
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and organizations to promote best practice and improve health outcomes for children and young people
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to school health and wellbeing
Requirements
  • Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) qualification
  • Experience of working in a school health setting, with a focus on practice development and education
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously, with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative
