LEX Diagnostics Limited is seeking a highly skilled Production Scientist to support the manufacture of LEX molecular reagents. As a key member of our biology team, you will contribute to process improvements, quality control activities, and the development of our lyophilisation processes.
Key Responsibilities- Support the production of LEX molecular biology reagents, including reagent preparation, lyophilization, and quality control of small to medium scale reagent batches.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of laboratory operations, ensuring efficient and effective production processes.
- Support production scaling activities in-house and with Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs).
- Support the creation and implementation of Quality Control (QC) and validation protocols, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the Quality Manager to continue the journey towards ISO 13485 certification of the LEX facilities and Quality Management System (QMS).
- Document all production activities, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate records.
- Strong understanding of molecular biology techniques and principles, with experience in reagent production or development.
- Proficiency in Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) and other molecular biology methodologies.
- Experience working under a Quality Management System (QMS) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with QC or validation processes in a regulated environment, ideally in the diagnostics industry.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
