Job Summary:

Brandon James Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Designer to join their esteemed team in a leading global architecture and design practice. As a Senior Principal Designer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects comply with CDM regulations, promoting safety, and integrating sustainable design principles across diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive Principal Designer services, including compiling pre-construction information, managing design risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with design teams, clients, and contractors to develop and implement effective risk management and safety strategies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure safety standards are met and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead CDM workshops and training sessions for design teams, promoting best practices in risk management and sustainable design.
  • Review and approve construction phase plans, ensuring all necessary safety measures are in place and adhered to during the project execution.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Architecture, Construction, or Engineering.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
  • Membership with IOSH or APS.
  • Extensive experience in delivering Principal Designer services within a consultancy or architectural practice.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and their integration into projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
