At Siemens Mobility, we're offering an exciting opportunity for ambitious individuals to embark on a Foundation Degree Apprenticeship in Rail and Rail Systems Engineering. As part of our team, you'll gain hands-on experience in designing, implementing, testing, installing, and maintaining signalling control systems.

We're looking for innovative and inquisitive candidates who can think logically and creatively, with excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and research. You'll be working independently and collaboratively with others to find innovative solutions, taking ownership of challenges and ideas, and driving change within the organization.

The apprenticeship program is designed to provide a personalized training plan that helps you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. You'll work on real-life projects within the workplace, including re-signalling parts of the UK rail network, developing the latest signalling control system technology, implementing traffic management systems, and producing accurate simulations of rail infrastructure operations.

Essential Skills and Attributes:
  • A Level qualifications at BBB, including Mathematics and/or Physical Sciences (120 UCAS points), or equivalent level 3 qualifications worth 120 UCAS points and including Mathematics and Physical Sciences
  • Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C, including Maths and English Language or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above)
  • Logical thinking, self-learning, and research skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
