About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our Investment Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing first-line risk oversight of our FCA-regulated subsidiary, People's Investment Limited.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain an investment risk framework and governance structure that integrates with our Group-wide risk framework.
  2. Act as the first line of defence for risk management within People's Investment Limited.
  3. Collaborate with the CIO and CRO to agree fund risk frames and monitor these using independent views on underlying holdings data.
  4. Conduct ongoing monitoring and analysis of risk within our portfolios at different levels.
  5. Develop and integrate data and systems with other teams to support independent risk views.
  6. Review and challenge investment proposals made by the Investment team.
  7. Provide risk signoff for investment proposals.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with 5-10 years' experience in an asset manager or hedge fund environment. A CFA, IMC, or equivalent qualification is required, along with experience in performance and risk attribution on single and cross-asset class portfolios.

Familiarity with different risk systems, such as Barra, Riskmetrics, and Factset Axioma, is also essential. Understanding of fund and asset valuation principles and methodologies, as well as performance attribution for each asset class, is required.
