Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a hospital in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to take on a new challenge and work in a unique and interesting environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, with experience working in commercial buildings. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including monitoring mechanical plant and performing routine checks on equipment
  • Maintain air conditioning and water treatment systems
  • Perform plumbing duties, including unblocking toilets and replacing taps and washers
  • Monitor BMS systems and perform basic electrical duties
  • Escort specialist sub-contractors

Requirements:

  • Mechanical qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds)
  • Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi-skilled
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to gain Enhanced DBS
