Job Summary:

CBRE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Manager to lead our facilities management team in the UK. As a key member of our Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) division, you will be responsible for managing a large and diverse property portfolio across the UK, including offices, contact centers, telephone exchanges, and retail outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of facilities management professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental protection requirements, and company procedures.
  • Proactively manage risk and deal with insurance issues related to the portfolio.
  • Prepare and monitor service agreements, budgets, and performance reports to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead incident management and business continuity efforts, ensuring timely and effective communication with customers and stakeholders.
  • Identify and track key performance metrics, including quality, safety, and financial performance, to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of direct reports.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety, and environmental standards across the portfolio.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in facilities management, including line management responsibility and contractor management.
  • High degree of knowledge and reference of health and safety legislation, environmental protection requirements, and ideally IOSH or NEBOSH qualified.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience of managing a profit and loss statement.
  • Analytical skills and competence in performance management, analysis, and reporting techniques.
