Job Title: Sexual Health Outreach Worker

Birmingham LGBT is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our community sexual health team as a Sexual Health Outreach Worker. This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the sexual health and wellbeing of the LGBTQ+ community in Birmingham and Solihull.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide sexual health services from the Birmingham LGBT Centre and in off-site outreach locations.
  • Work collaboratively with the community sexual health team to develop and deliver a sexual health and wellbeing service that meets the needs of LGBTQ+ people.
  • Contribute to the reduction of STI infections and late diagnosis of HIV in the LGBTQ+ community.
  • Engage with the community to promote sexual health awareness and provide education on safe sex practices.
Requirements:
  • Accountable to the Sexual Health Services Manager.
  • Working on a rota basis, including evening and weekend work, and some travel to sites in Birmingham and Solihull.
  • Permanent contract with 25 days annual leave per annum (pro rata) plus bank holidays.
