Birmingham LGBT is seeking a skilled Sexual Health Outreach Professional to join our community sexual health team.

The successful applicant will work towards reducing the incidence of STIs and poor sexual health, to reduce late diagnosis of HIV, and to provide and develop a sexual health and wellbeing service that meets the needs of LGBTQ+ people in Birmingham and Solihull.

The role involves providing sexual health services from the centre and in off-site outreach locations, working on a rota basis including evening and weekend work and some travel to sites in Birmingham and Solihull.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sexual health services to LGBTQ+ individuals in Birmingham and Solihull.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement a sexual health and wellbeing service.
  • Provide education and support to individuals on sexual health and wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a sexual health or community setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
