Job Title: Provider Quality Improvement Officer

Essex County Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Provider Quality Improvement Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Adult Social Care department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality of services provided by our partners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and produce reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide consultancy services to the Social Care market on quality improvement strategies to enhance customer outcomes and experiences.
  • Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to develop innovative approaches to service delivery, maximizing opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Identify and challenge care delivery that falls below standards, providing support to improve service provision.
  • Offer expert advice and support to providers during safeguarding activities.
  • Produce reports on expected standards of delivery across Essex to inform and support ECC's safeguarding responsibilities and duty of care.
  • Ensure providers comply with external regulation and contractual requirements to achieve required standards.
  • Utilize opportunities to identify best practices, share intelligence with People Commissioning, and influence future thinking and commissioning intent.
Requirements:
  • Educated to A Level equivalent or equivalent experience with evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience within a social care setting with a proven track record of ensuring quality of outputs in delivering services.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to develop rapport and engage with diverse groups of individuals.
  • Evidence of good understanding of quality standards, analysis, organizational development, and practical application.
