Financial Operations Coordinator

Salary: The anticipated hiring range for this position is $35,000 to $45,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Job Description:
The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for processing routine invoices for local funds and federal checks, reconciling financial records, and assisting end-users with travel reimbursements. This position will also ensure that invoices are cleared for payment processing, monitor budget balances, and make routine account adjustments as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Work experience in accounting, accounts payable, procurement, and inventory
- Working knowledge of state accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge of cash management principles and procedures
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, and PeopleSoft applications or similar software
- Ability to balance and reconcile financial data
