Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced ESG Researcher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our investment desks with ESG research and integration, as well as stewardship activities. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a wide range of investment teams across asset classes and strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Support investment desks with ESG research and integration, including the use and interpretation of ESG data to support investment processes.
- Conduct climate analysis to provide investment insights and generate engagement ideas that consider ESG risks and opportunities.
- Support our wider responsible investment commitments by conducting direct and collaborative engagement with companies to represent client interests.
- Conduct ESG portfolio reviews and respond to ESG-specific client queries.
- Support strategic initiatives both inside and outside of our direct team that relate to ESG and sustainability.
- Strong analytical ability with an attention to detail and an understanding of investment analysis.
- Understanding of core ESG investment drivers and how they impact investment risk and potential returns.
- Data analysis experience with working with large amounts of ESG data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt one's style and disseminate complex information in a manner that is easy to understand.
- Strong IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, with experience with PowerBI, Refinitiv, and Bloomberg viewed favorably.
- Ability to work under pressure, work with various stakeholders, and build productive relationships with investment professionals and senior management.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage one's own time to complete work accurately and to deadlines.
- Team-oriented, flexible, and open-minded.
