About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Educational Support Assistant to join our team in Leeds. As an Educational Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Salary:£28,000 - £38,000 per annum.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring and supporting one pupil or a small group of up to six pupils. This will involve reporting on pupils' progress and concerns, liaising with other school staff to ensure pupils' needs are met, and supervising pupils during non-classroom time. You will also be expected to assist with lesson planning and classroom preparation, and build positive relationships with your pupil(s) to drive interaction and positive learning outcomes.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong basic education, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics, and sound IT skills. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, as well as some previous experience of working with pupils with SEMH within an educational setting. You must be committed to professional development and willing to learn, and be able to take additional responsibility in areas such as food hygiene, forest school, lunchtimes, or school yoga. An Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check will be required prior to commencing work.
