About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse to join our team at Alrewas Surgery. As a key member of our primary care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients, including health promotion and protection, and encouraging healthy living options and screening activities.
  • Assist doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team in providing patient care, including routine tasks and procedures.
  • Support patients with long-term conditions, including diabetes management and wound care.
  • Participate in routine immunisations and vaccinations, ensuring safe storage, rotation, stock take, and disposal of vaccines.
  • Assist in emergency situations and ensure that emergency equipment is kept well-stocked and maintained.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Competent basic nursing duties and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of health and safety and infection control requirements.
  • Competent IT skills and ability to use Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience of working in accordance with the UKCC Code of Professional Conduct and the Scope of Professional Practice.
  • Experience of dealing with the public/patients and assisting patients with long-term conditions.
