HGV Technician Job Description


This role involves performing thorough inspections, servicing, and repairing commercial vehicles to ensure they are safe for operation. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of vehicle mechanics and be able to diagnose and rectify faults in a timely and efficient manner.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs
  • Investigate and diagnose faults using technical knowledge and diagnostic equipment
  • Perform repairs and servicing to the highest manufacturers' standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:



  • Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) HGV Licence
  • Previous experience in a similar role or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of HGV mechanics, including electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
